WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
IN-DEPTH INVESTIGATIVE STORIES
WE REPORTED FIRST
on the story about Ana Esparza, the 11-year-old Mexican
girl who desperately needed a liver transplant but could
not receive one locally because of the lack of U.S. citizenship.
This story triggered community support resulting in Ana
receiving her life-saving transplant.
WE ALSO BROKE THE STORY
about the high school promised but not yet built in
the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago for which
a group of mothers went on a hunger strike.
For stories like these, our staff regularly appears
on newscasts of major English and Spanish networks such
as CLTV, CBS, telemundo, and Univision.
